We are now entering a new year with new challenges and opportunities. As we do so, there are old things that need to go, as well as new things we need to begin and grow in. This message will begin our new series: DISCOVERING A NEW SEASON. You can look ahead by reading Ecclesiastes 3:1-17 and 2 Corinthians 5:17. We will be exploring the two constants in our lives through the years. One is the fact that God stays the same and we can count on him, even when our lives are changing. The other is the fact that change is constant, both good and bad things. The exciting thing is that we can decide to begin positive change in our lives in every season.
I. GOD DOES NOT TOLERATE EVIL CHANGE.
II. GOD COMMANDS CHANGES THAT COME FROM FOLLOWING JESUS.
III. BEING IN CHRIST AND BELIEVING IN CHRIST ARE NOT THE SAME THING.
As you read the 2 Corinthians verse, take note that these changes are only true of those who are “in Christ”. We’ll find out what that really means in this message and perhaps be more prepared to meet and make changes in 2019.
