When One Thing Stands Between Someone You Love And God

“One thing you lack - go, sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” Bryan Fischer with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. These words of Jesus were spoken to a wealthy young man in Mark 10:21, a man I believe was Mark himself. Jesus says to him if you want to inherit eternal life, you must follow me, and there’s one thing keeping you from being able to do that, and that’s your love of money. Now there may be someone you love and there’s one thing standing between them and God. It might be materialism, as it was for Mark. It might be pride - pride in intellect, or beauty, or education, or talent, or career, or accomplishments - and it may seem impossible for them to come into the kingdom. But never forget what Jesus says here, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”
