When The Beat Drops

#UFC225 was a loooooonnnnggg night. Listen to me do my best casual-fan breakdown of the fights and what they mean for the fighters and the UFC.

Including talking points:

- Why WWE should hire Mike Jackson

- Is that the end for Rashad Evans?

- Why Lesnar/Overeem is the fight to make for Lesnar's return

- What's next for Holly Holm?

- Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker are not human.

Trying something new here. I haven't released a podcast in a short while and I figured I needed to stop making excuses and just talk. So I might start up a new series of book reviews. In this episode I try and break down Gary Vaynerchuk's 2018 book "Crushing It". If you're not familiar with Gary Vee, he's an entrepreneur, marketing agency owner, podcaster, speaker, investor... you get the idea. I can't believe that anyone reading this right now won't know who he is. But you might not know about his latest book. If you're curious, take a listen. If you've read the book, leave me your thoughts. If you've got an idea of a book I should read or review - send them my way.

Breaking down the fights from UFC223 in what seems to have been one of the craziest weeks ever in the UFC. Listen as I butcher several fighter surnames and struggle to remember the divisions that all the fighters are in.

I don't feel I've done this album justice in this clip. Head on over to @whenthebeatdrops on IG for my written thoughts. Let me know if you have listened to the album, it's one of my favourite projects from @common to date.

A breakdown of the fights from 03/03/2018:

- An awesome debut victory for Cory McKenna in Cage Warriors 91 via corner stoppage

- All the craziness from #UFC222 including Mackenzie Dern's debut, Ortega being the first to finish Edgar and what that means for the Featherweight division and why I like Cyborg's dominance

- Wilder being the best/worst heavyweight fighter ever

WRESTLING

- Why I'm not watching PPVs between the Rumble and Wrestlemania

- Who really wants Cena/Mysterio?

- Rousey's acting

MMA

- A catch up on recent fights

- Why I like not knowing anything about Cyborg's opponents

- Thoughts on Mackenzie Dern's UFC debut

HIP-HOP

- Pusha T is coming

- I DO miss the old Kanye

- SR3MMLIFE IS GONNA BE FIRE

- Thoughts on this new Ric Flair Drip (which I kept calling DIP!)
