July 18, 2022:  The morning planet parade is slowly breaking up.  The Venus – Saturn gap continues to widen.  Orion’s Bellatrix is making its first morning appearance.  Saturn appears in the east-southeast as evening twilight ends.

July 17, 2022: The gibbous moon is between Jupiter and Saturn this morning.  Morning Star Venus and Mars are farther eastward.  After night falls, Hercules can be seen high in the south.

July 16, 2022: Mercury is at superior conjunction today.  Four bright planets shine before daybreak.  The Milky Way shines during summer evenings.

July 15, 2022: The bright gibbous moon appears with Saturn in the planet parade with Jupiter, Mars, and Venus.  About three hours after sundown, the moon is with Saturn again in the southeastern sky.

June 20 – 29, 2022:  The five bright planets are visible in the eastern sky before sunrise.  They are visible in solar system order – Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn from the sunrise point.
