When the darkness feels too heavy

Listen Later

I almost didn’t record this episode. Infact, I had planned for this day to go by without any episodes or heads-up. But I sat with my thoughts, debating whether to say these words out loud. Some things feel too heavy to talk about, too raw to share. But then I realized—I had to. Not just for myself, but for anyone who needs to hear this.
A few days ago, I published an episode about running away, about how depression can push people to the edge, and about how I found my way back. Then, just a day later, I heard the news—a 16-year-old boy in my area had taken his own life. Sixteen. And it shook me. It made me question everything. What if someone had reached out? What if he had found a way to release what he was carrying?
And then, on World Poetry Day, I attended a spoken word event. I listened as people poured their emotions into words, and it hit me—writing, journaling, and speaking are not just forms of expression; they are survival. They lift the weights we were never meant to carry alone.
In this episode, I open up about silent battles, self-harm, and the power of finding an outlet. I share my own struggles—the times I turned to pain instead of healing—and how I found my way back through self-expression.
If you’re struggling, if the darkness feels too heavy, please… stay. Speak. Write. Reach out. You are not alone in this.
