This past Sunday we looked at Mark 11:1-25 and two troubling passage right in a row - the cursing of the fig tree and the cleaning of the Temple. Both of these are symbolic of Jesus' frustration with empty religion, of the crowds who are excited about the work of God only to yell "crucify" a few days later.
