Hearing that a woman is climbing the corporate ladder while her husband stays home with the kids still makes people pause, speculate, and sometimes, judge. It's pretty surprising that in this day and age, that's still the case. In many, (I'd dare to say most), circles, it is. Ashley Quinto Powell was doing just that. She was rising the ranks in corporate job with her husband behind her, encouraging her every step of the way. And yet, the top? It felt a little lonely. Ashley felt that other moms just didn't get her. So, she set out to find her tribe. Ashley not only created a group of like-minded executive moms, she also wrote a book about it. Heck, she even gave a Ted Talk. Ashley is smart, witty, funny, and... unconventional. Her taking a unique path, despite what other people may say, gives other women permission to do the same. That's something we should all applaud.
