I purchased this because narrated by Jim Frangione

The story was enjoyable and well structured. It was different to other romances that I usually read, the mystery was something different, however some parts of the book was exhausting to get through, just the constant building of emotions from each character and running through the Whys and Hows of details. Jim does another amazing job at narrating, I really got this book because he was narrating, and probably going to get the other books because he is narrating them as well.

Excruciatingly long s\and drawn out!

OMG could she have dragged this story out any further? We do not need to have every single solitary detail of each character's every thought. Good story line,

great chemistry between characters but this story cold easily have been told in half the time. Jim's narrating truly makes this story worth listening to. He could describe paint drying and make it sound fascinating. 5 stars for his performance.

Action Packed

I have always loved Lori Foster, in fact she's one of my top 5 writers of all time. Although I have to be honest....I was a little disappointed in the beginning of this book: in fact I almost gave up on it after listening to the first few chapters. But since it was a Lori Foster book, I decided to give it a little more time to develop, and boy am I glad I did! Shortly after that...this story took off like a rocket and it had me sitting on the edge of my seat right up to the very end of the story..

Detective Logan Riske goes undercover to find Pepper Yates, a potential link to his best friend's unsolved murder. And he vows to gain her cooperation by any means necessary, and that's when things start to get hot!!!

Pepper has spent years dodging the corrupt club owner who will stop at nothing to keep her silenced. She can trust no one but her brother right now, not even the handsome new "construction worker" who's moved in next door.

Even with Pepper dressing like a bag lady, it doesn't seem to be stopping Logan from being very attracted to her. But he has to keep his head on straight, if he wants to catch his best friends murderer, and finding Pepper's brother is the key to that success. If he has to use Pepper to draw him out, then that's just what he has to do.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

good story, different from anything I had thought. It also had some sizzle. Definitely an adult book. The subject of human trafficking is disturbing, but so glad the good guys win.

What other book might you compare When You Dare to and why?

Had never listened to any other books like this one. just liked the author, so thought I would try a new one of hers.

What about Jim Frangiones performance did you like?

the narrator never wavered even though some of the scenes were very hot.
