That's So Mental

When Your Brand Is Dressing Up Like An Animal with Michael Feldman

Listen Later

Writer and Performer Michael J Feldman shares his insights, diagnosis, and explains how during the pandemic, he ended up doing a solo show as his dog. Hey, would you rather die on the Titanic listening to screams or sweet music? Cristina and Ilana chat with Michael about anxiety vs depression and how to ride those waves. Michael shares the horror story about one of the last times he performed his solo show, “No, But I’m definitely In A Better Place Than I’ve Been In A Long Time.” An experience that may be just the thing that gets him to perform the show again.

Michael's credits include; The Neighbors, A.P. Bio, Not Dead Yet, (not to be confused for Dead To Me, which Ilana did - but mom’s tired!). We all know you can only change yourself, but we love a good reminder - thanks Byron Katie. Gotta work on your own sh*t, stay in your lane, baby! And hey, don’t forget to celebrate the little wins, especially NOW!

Endorsements: Tara Brach meditation, Go Tribe, Nichiren Buddhism, daily chanting, and Traveling to Italy.

Special mentions: Dynasty Typewriter, Marc Maron, Ziva mediation, Burning Man, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and Coach Krickit…thanks for making Ilana push through - even if she was crying on the rower.

Thank you to our producer Elizabeth Baquet, sound engineer Kevin Luu, and everyone at Ninth Planet Audio. Theme song created by Mike Costantini. Special Thanks to Dave Kneebone at AbsoLutely.
