This week we're continuing Max Heindel's Ancient and Modern Initiation as we read chapter 2, The Brazen Altar and Laver. What does the Brazen Altar symbolize? What was the Laver? And how is it related to Atlantis? Then, an all-new Masonic Minute with Ill. Bro. Steven L. Harrison. What if a Brother was a leader of a country and banned Freemasonry, and then brought it back, and then banned it again? This week you'll hear all about it. We'll wrap it up with a December newsletter from 1934 written by none other than Manly P. Hall. In it, he discusses the threefold nature of consciousness and the kabbalistic ties to modern psychoanalysis and psychotherapy! Thanks for listening, and have an amazing week!

This week we're cracking open two pieces from way back in the 1920s. First up, ancient and modern initiation. We begin this week by looking at Max Heindel's work explaining initiation rites and rituals throughout history. The first in a multipart series. We'll tackle the ideas of the Atlantean mystery temple--the Tabernacle in the Wilderness and some of its various parts. Then we're going to demystify Santa Claus, or perhaps we're going to re-mystify Santa Claus. What is Santa Clause's occult significance? Spoiler alert it's not what you think. Make sure your little elves are not around for this one. All this and more, coming right up. Stay tuned!

This week we read an article from Steve Harrison when he asks, "What exactly does hold the universe together? And will it be around forever?" Then, we'll hear from Ill. Bro. Harrison in his all-new Masonic Minute segment-- this week, a love story. Then, we're going to wrap it all up when we talk about the similarities between Freemasonry and Raja Yoga. Is there a connection between Freemasonry's search for morality and what Yoga teaches? All this and more. Thanks for listening, and have an awesome week!

This week, I read a letter from my own Area Deputy Grandmaster on the Humanity of Being Brothers. What did we do is kids that we don't do today? Then we'll take a look at a bizarre experiment done at Stanford University-- The prison experiment. We explore the roles of Prudence, Temperance, Fortitude, and Justice have in such an experiment and what Masonry can teach us about behaviors. Then we'll wrap it all up with a piece from Darren Lahners on creating the ideal Lodge experience. If pizza is available, why do you keep eating ketchup on a saltine? All this and more. Stay tuned!

This week, I talk to two Brothers who are expert marketers in the real world. I ask them hard questions about our time-honored slogans. As we get in the weeds of what Freemasonry encompasses, startling revelations manifest. When confronted with the facts about how to actually grow Freemasonry, what can we say? Has Freemasonry forgotten about an entire generation? And ultimately, we confront some hard truths. Plus an all-new Masonic Minute with Ill. Bro. Harrison. All this and more, coming right up. Stay tuned.

This week, we dive into the illustrated symbols of Freemasonry. Do they represent elements of the consciousness? Then, we'll read a poem that allows us to reflect on our own mortality. Are we building that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens? Finally, we'll wrap it up with a piece that aims to shed some light on Ms. Harriet Martineau, in her retrospect of the western travels, when she relates the tale of a pirate who was also a Brother. All this and more. Stay Tuned.

This week we explore concepts of Masonic leadership using three architects in a paper by brother Doyle Freeman. The "sharing leader," "the reconciling leader," "the building leader," which do you represent? Then we open up another chapter in Alphonse Cerza's virtual book on Freemasonry when he talks about Masonry's most valuable asset. Is it philosophy? Is it a search for truth? Is it just…friendship? Illustrious Brother Steven L. Harrison stops by with another amazing installment of the Masonic Minute. Baseball legend Mordecai Brown--did a childhood accident keep him from joining the Masons and create possibly the greatest pitcher baseball has ever known? Finally, we'll wrap it up with a piece on the intrinsic symbol of secrecy in Freemasonry. What makes it so valuable? Does its secret relate to the law of attraction? All this, and more--coming right up. Links:

This week we explore a piece by Joseph Fort Newton. What does he have to say about a Lodge that simply makes Masons? Then we read a short article from Brother Steven E Patrick. Is there a history of tracing boards on beer mugs? We'll wrap it up with a piece that explores the early days of Masonry—Apprentice, Masters, then Fellows? Was the Fellow more important than the Master? Find out this and a whole lot more in this episode coming right up. Stay tuned!

This week. we hear from one of the founders of the Illinois Lodge of Research, Alphonse Cerza, in his piece titled, "Work, Work, Work." What does the American way of life have in parallel to the Masonic Lodge? What does Masonic unemployment mean for the profits of a Lodge? Then, We'll read a piece from a Past Grand Master of Michigan, as he gives a parable of a Cherry Tree. Each branch of a tree-- a tree that represents Freemasonry where each branch represents an independent body. When those branches get full of fruit, fall, and break off, what happens? What other parallels can we draw? Find out this, and a whole lot more, coming right up. Stay Tuned.
