I spent weeks questioning my capabilities because of my setbacks, shortcomings, and the thought that I am behind others. And it caused more problems until I cannot handle or accomplish anything even the simplest tasks. But suddenly, I remembered sharing something from my previous speaking event, and I learned from that, and I assessed what brought me to my bad situation; of constantly pressuring and comparing myself and my progresses to others.
I think the biggest factor that greatly affects our question to being ready is our progress and how we measure it. And for me, the pandemic changed the way we see progress, and its not in the concept of being ready for anything that we want to achieve. Why? there's always uncertainty. Changes. Conflicts. but most of the time, mental chaos. our ability to process and acknowledge our thoughts and plans.
