Over the last couple of days, I’ve spent more hours than I care to count talking to tech support about issues on my website – and even more hours on hold just waiting to speak to them.
It can’t be easy working in tech support – everyone you deal with is already having a bad day. There are so many things they would rather be doing than calling you right now.
And, as an average non-techie, I know I’m in for a hard time – it’s like trying to converse and describe complex concepts in a language I barely recognise.
No wonder folks at either end of the phone line can get frustrated.
So here are a few suggestions to improve the whole experience for us all.
