Where Crisis and Christ Collide
 Jennifer Sienes

Is it possible for God to take our “mess” and turn it into a message? I would have to say, “Absolutely! That’s my life story!” Amen!

So many people today are having issues. Issues in life. Issues in their family. Issues in business. Sometimes it can get hectic and seem out of our control.

But if we are honest, the Lord is still speaking to us. He is urging us to “turn it over to Him.” He can handle it, I guarantee it.

But there are some that can put these events, these emotions and these feelings into stories. Stories that rivet us to the character and allow us to see things through the eyes of another. By doing so, the allow the Lord to reach a part of our soul that can then shed some light on our issues.

This is what our guest today has been able to accomplish with her writings. Jennifer Sienes was born to write. But she put it off. For years. She became a teacher and enjoyed that work, but the love and calling of writing never left her.

When her daughter suffered a terrible accident that caused her to go through months of rehab due to a traumatic brain injury, her marriage falling apart and several other personal tragedies, she began writing.

Today, she is the author of several contemporary women’s fiction and romance books, but has now transitioned into romantic suspense novels. Through her tragedies, God has given her a gift that allows her to develop her characters and write with emotion that bridges the gap between the written page and the readers heart.

Help me welcome to the program, Jennifer Sienes!

Jennifer, thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to come visit with us today!

First question, other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Jennifer Sienes?”

You were called to write for many years before you actually took the plunge. You became a wife, mother, teacher – why didn’t you pursue writing even on a part time basis back then?

Your daughters accident, you say, was basically your wake-up call to finally pursue writing.

What is the book, “Illusions” about?

Tell us about your book, “Providence…”

Your first series was “Apple Hill.” Correct me if I’m wrong, but these books were contemporary women’s fiction and romance. But now, you are transitioning into “romantic suspense” novels? Why the change?

You use your life experiences to create you books and characters. Can you explain a little of how that works and some examples?

Who is “Tess O’Shay?”

You’re a believer. You love the Lord. How does that message come through your work as a writer?

What are some of the take-aways you want you want your readers to gain by reading your books?

I believe the series you are currently working on is “Bedford County.” In fact, you published the first book in that series (Night Songs). Can you explain the background for the series, “Bedford County?”

What does the future hold for your writing?
