Exactly what we were looking for! Not too graphic at all. Has answers to more detailed questions in the back for those curious kids.
Too much for a 4yo
Mmm nope. Too much info for my 4yo. I purchased this book to help with the conversation about another baby brother or sister coming soon, but I wasn't ready to tell him about sperm and eggs and parents bodies fitting together. So we had the conversation without the book, planning to use it if he had questions. All he asked was if this baby would be in Daddy's belly this time, since last time it was in Mommy's belly. Then he jumped down to go play with toys...

This book was gentle and age-appropriate. It does try and gently answer the question: Where Do Babies Come From. I bought this book after my child and I read it at the library. The librarian told me it won an award. The illustrations are gorgeous.

This book was great for my VERY curious 4 year old. I wanted to be honest without being graphic. This book uses correct terminology (womb, sperm, egg, birth canal) without going into exact details (sex). It will help make future âtalksâ a little easier since she will already know some of the terms.
Accurate and appropriate
Accurate information provided at a level appropriate for my 3 year olds. I like my kids to be informed, but I want it to be with the amount of detail that is just enough and doesn't add any unexplainable details. The author nailed it. Love it!
