What happens when you are truly heard and held by a healthcare provider? How can the right provider help you connect to your body and work with it as opposed to feeling victimized by it? How can physical therapy be a vehicle to healing with the patients as the ones in the driver’s seat?
Welcome to the Collaborative Connections by OrthoPelvic PT! I’m your host for this week, Molli Atallah. In this week's episode, we will be joined by one of OrthoPelvic’s wonderful PTs, Dr. Lauren Navarrete.
Lauren is a Philly girl who transplanted to Northern Virginia and is loving it!
Lauren knew she wanted to go into pelvic health before she even entered PT school. She worked as an aid for a pelvic health PT and she loved how women left their appointments feeling so much happier, confident, and more at ease than they entered.
She saw pelvic health PT transform their relationships with themselves, their spouses, their bodies, and she knew she wanted to be a part of that change.
She is passionate about empowering men and women to understand their own bodies and to destigmatize pelvic health issues. Dr. Lauren knows that through transparency and evidence-based care, patients can become empowered and confident in their own wonderful bodies.
