This really does works

I have sold many things of Craigs list. In most cases I was happy with the amount of money I received for my items. I was surprised to hear that many people dont research the cost of higher priced items before purchasing them. This is encouraging me to try to sell my mountain bike for twice the amount I was thinking of listing it. I'm excited to see how it goes.

I have a friend who frequents nice neighborhoods on trash day. She has collected many pieces of furniture in which she has turned around and sold. As a hobby she makes several hundred dollars a month. So I know that this method of making money really does work.

Not a step-by-step guide

This book does not talk in details about how to build a freelance business or to be a successful freelancer. Rather, it's mainly about the author experience and what you can learn from his mistakes. The information is very generic and the same points being repeated in almost every chapter.

It is an ok book if you just want to listen to stories of someone who has been in the social media freelancing business. Do not expect to get a "step-by-step" guide from this book.

The book does have a few great points. Points articulate positive direction for setting up practice business online.

Helpful, funny and inspiring!

Jerry oozes experience and shares his lessons learnt in an off the cuff way that is easy to digest and internalize. I for one love the humorous tangents he goes on right when the reader needs to reset. The narration is more like a long TED talk which is a refreshing change from the overly edited format of the past.

Good info, a little much rambling

This book has great information and Jerry seems honest and up front about his experience . The only negative is after the first few chapters everything gets redundant and he starts rambling.

Great Book For Entrepreneurship

Julie Hoffman, author of the book âHow to Start Run and Grow a Successful Thrift Store Business On and Offline,â writes a great book about entrepreneurship at its best. It is a step-by-step guide. However, the added component of online sales is an excellent aspect of the book. It is a fascinating story coupled with knowledge and encouragement. I strongly recommend this book for any one venturing into the thrift-store business.

Good basic understanding of what it takes to open this type of shop

I believe this type of book is meant as an opening towards an understanding of what it takes to get into this business. It contains great information. I admit that the author is not a writer and it would help a bit to get more sales if there was someone reviewing it in order to give it more details and formulate the sentences differently, as well as attract more readers. That being said, I don't want to put down the fact that the book is meant to make us learn exactly what it takes, and that's what the book did: tell me what I had to have ready before, during and after the process of opening a thrift shop. I don't see why some people called this book a scam when the information in it is all about how to prepare, what paperwork needs to be done, the contacts that have to be made, and so on.
