Publisher's Summary:
Kids have a fantastic way of looking at the world, and they are kind, curious, and completely honest about the things they experience. We tend to lose those natural traits as we get older, but it doesn't have to be that way. In this book, parents share stories about the lessons they've learned from their children - from hilarious anecdotes that make you think to out-of-nowhere, almost melancholy thoughts on modern issues.

Allen Klein's SECRETS KIDS KNOW reminds us to embrace our own personal power
Every time I read a book by Allen Klein I come away not just inspired but looking at the world a little differently.
In the newest book SECRETS KIDS KNOW THAT ADULTS OUGHTA LEARN we are reminded of the importance of not giving up too easily on others or ourselves. As I was reading the book it reminded me that as a child we are all full of wonder and excitement about life. We look at each moment as the only thing that matters at the time, and we are excited about what's to come. As Allen points out in the book when life happens to us and we have to deal with the "adult" things of the world we can lose that excitement. The book encourages us to look for opportunities to reclaim that time.
I also think the book does a great job of encouraging us to remember the importance of dreaming big and expecting greatness, even when things seem like they are impossible. Giving up really begins in the mind, so if we can remember how kids think anything is possible we will strive each and every day to look at our own lives in a more positive way.
Full of great stories and encouragement that I'm enjoying sharing with others, SECRETS KIDS KNOW reminds us to embrace our own personal power.
Secrets Kids Know that Grownups Should Learn is full of moments that made me laugh aloud with delight.
Secrets Kids Know that Grownups Should Learn
is full of moments that made me laugh aloud with delight.
From the story of a small child trying to grasp a golden retrieverâs tail, putting his face close to catch the breeze to a little girl who wonders if she threw up at the restaurant would it improve service - with a side trip to how velcro was invented.
These are magic moments that we grownups with the weight of the world on shoulders have pretty much stopped seeing, now that weâre all âgrown Up.â Allen Klein says maybe itâs time for us to âgrow downâ and re-live the wonder of childhood. Then he takes you by the hand and shows you how. A very neat trick.
"The world needs our light. Perhaps it is time to put
aside our shyness, be bold like a child, and shine as bright
as we can," Allen Klein writes.
Youâll want to carry this book with you wherever you go, to consult whenever you need a smile, or just to remember why weâre all here together.
