Or did the advent of screens just bring males up to speed with that age old, primarily female, habit of scrolling through stories in the feed of her mind, which brew dissatisfaction with spouse, and tend toward unreasonable expectations? His initial steps toward mating (and infidelity, in kind) are toward beauty. Her initial steps toward mating (and infidelity, in kind) are toward competence. Therefore, his porn is picture porn. And her porn is story porn.

Every week, millions of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints worldwide read and discuss the same chapters of scripture at the same time. Prompts in a manual titled "Come Follow Me" spark individual connections with heaven, friends and family.

Paige and I aren't biblical scholars, but we are construction projects in Christ's portfolio, and we're glad to share authentic snapshots and updates of His work as we read along with you.

This week's chapters are from the Book of Mormon, and one of them is my favorite chapter in all of scripture: 2 Nephi 2.

Paige and I chat about why God forsakes us, how eternity is stretched as we sit still; we discuss how Disney can be a great temptation, what polarity has to do with man's agency, and why nothing could be created without it. We don't discuss this directly, but PUT IT IN YOUR HEAD: the opposites mentioned in 2 Nephi are masculinity and femininity, their interplay is what the scriptural Bridegroom & bride metaphor point to, and our exaltation is what they create.

Introducing Paige. She is a woman, and she's bringing both femininity and dynamism to this work of understanding masculine and feminine dynamics at scale.

Still influenced heavily by Byron Katie, we launch from Katie's statement that "the world is the reflection of the mind." Paige exposes my lingering bitterness from divorce, fields my big bold man jokes adeptly, and yawns while I bounce excitedly between all the places I see the A-B | B-A relationship pattern. And somewhere in there we address the fact that the characteristic of reflecting is feminine, and we discuss why.

Probably she should have her own show, and I should be her occasional guest, but ... this is a man's world, and I'm the man 😘
