✼ Frances William “Frank” Epperson of San Francisco popularized frozen ice pops. In 1925, at age 11, Epperson claims he created the first ice pop when he unknowingly left a glass of powdered lemonade soda in water with a mixing stick in it on his porch during a cold night. He patented his idea of frozen ice on a stick in 1923.
