Matthew talked about the Roman soldiers, Luke gave us the Emmaus Road, John told us about Mary Magdalene meeting Jesus in person, and Mark very intentionally wants us to know that even Peter needed to hear about Jesus' resurrection. Why Peter in particular? Let's find out!

It was obvious that the guards at the tomb on resurrection morning were spreading lies about what had happened to Jesus' body, because what they were "taught" to say by the religious leaders made no sense. Still, people believed the lie. Why? Why do people believe lies?

Such good news the angel at the tomb shared with the women who went there on resurrection morning! But when they left the tomb, they were afraid! Afraid of what exactly? At the same time, they were filled with great joy. How is that possible?
