You have a narrative you hold on to like your life depends on it, because, well according to you it does. That experience, that loss, that trauma, defined the rest of your following experiences. So, why would you let go of it? 

Wouldn't letting go of that painful narrative be harmful to me and the experience?

I'm honouring myself by not forgetting what I went through, right?

Not exactly. Powerful change occurs when we learn the secret art of letting go. 

Letting go of victim narratives.

Letting go of excuses and justifications for our misery.

Letting go of what we lost to learn we never truly lose what we learn to let go.

These are the lessons that my Christmas loss to suicide taught me over the last 12 years of my life.

Let's be honest, words like spiritual get thrown around so much by people who according to our best judgement are no monks, so what does it even mean to be spiritual?

I can't speak for everybody, but here's my take.

How I found Psychedelics, their role in what I would describe as cataclysmic events in my life, & their shortfalls in a culture that recreates itself quite elegantly. In this episode I don't focus so much on the literal hallucinogenic experiences of psychedelics as I don't believe that aspect of psychedelics is particularly important or profound, rather, I'm sharing my relationship to these substances & how they've not only aided and abetted love but been an integral part of my personal development & spiritual growth.

I was talking with my coworker after we got off work & we began talking about the state of dating, more specifically, about the use of tinder and the other dating apps. She asked if I was on there I gave some pretentious answer about getting off them for my mental health or something, and she told me she was on them, but only when she needs some-& I interrupted, ‘what? MALE validation??,” to which she honestly and admirably said ‘yeah, or just someone to tell me Im pretty.’

So what's the deal with these apps, are they good? are they bad? Let's breakdown that black and white paradigm & discuss some nuance.
