Sl: Mateja in Zoran sta skupaj sedela na majhnem čolničku sredi Blejskega jezera.
En: Mateja and Zoran sat together on a small boat in the middle of Blejsko jezero.

Sl: Mrzla zima je ovijala jezero v belino, snežinke so plesale v zraku, tišina zime pa je ustvarjala čarobno, skoraj nadnaravno kuliso.
En: The cold winter wrapped the lake in whiteness, snowflakes danced in the air, and the silence of winter created a magical, almost supernatural backdrop.

Sl: Bilo je Valentinovo, praznik ljubezni, a nebo ni bilo prijazno.
En: It was Valentine's Day, the holiday of love, but the sky was unkind.

Sl: Nenadoma je veter zapičil in začel vrtinčiti snežne kristale okoli njunega čolnička.
En: Suddenly, the wind picked up and began to swirl the snow crystals around their little boat.

Sl: "Zoran," je rekla skozi veter, "vedno sem se bala ponoviti preteklost.
En: "Zoran," she said through the wind, "I've always been afraid to repeat the past.

Sl: Bala sem se spet verjeti.
En: Afraid to believe again."

Sl: " Njene besede so bile jasne v hrupu nevihte.
En: Her words were clear in the noise of the storm.

Sl: Zoran je popustil vesla, da bi jo bolje slišal.
En: Zoran let go of the oars to hear her better.
