In this very special episode of Whiskey on the Weekends, Lee, Spencer, BJ and Levi ring in the new year with the rest of the Mangum Crew. We recorded this over the course of our annual new years party and featured Hao “The Hammer” Wu, Josh and Adam. Whiskies tasted- John J Bowman from A. Smith Bowman Distillery and White Walker by Johnnie Walker.
In this very special episode of Whiskey on the Weekends, the guys are all recording in the same place! This podcast was recorded on the eve of Mangum’s annual New Years party and it was a good time all around. We shared a number of stories but the real highlight of this episode is Spencer recounting the infamous New Year Mike Story during the first hour. Whiskey’s sampled include: Sierra Norte Single Barrel Mexican Whiskey and the very potent Vicomte Cask Strength Single Malt.
In this episode of Whiskey on the Weekend, 3/4’s of the crew are in the same place! We recorded this live hours before attending a wedding. Appropriately, we reminisced about previous weddings of the Mangum crew. We had a little bit of audio issues in the middle of this one but it’s still a fun listen. Whiskey’s tasted were- Old Elk and Suntory Toki. Plus, Spencer finally drinks Fireball.
On this episode of Whiskey on the Weekend, Lee, BJ, Levi and Spencer drink a variety of whiskeys that, unfortunately, included Fireball. We talk about why we each decided to go to UNC Chapel Hill, our favorite movie franchise and plan the next Whiskey on the Weekend which will be recorded in person. It’s good times all around.
In the second episode of Whiskey on the Weekends, Lee, Spencer, BJ and Levi try a sour mash whiskey from Mother Earth Brewing Company and a rye whiskey from Limestone Branch Distillery. The episode starts by BJ and Lee informing Spencer of where he will be when we record episode 3. Segments include: what’s the worst fruit?, is chocolate overrated?, what’s the best way to eat apple pie? and “Spencer, does this whiskey taste like a campfire?” It was good times all around.
