Colour 🎨 :  mahogany-old oak

Nose 👃 :  PX sherry, dried mixed fruit, fresh fruits of the forest

Palate 👅 : oily creamy mouth feel and opens up with fresh red fruit, vanilla custard, and apricot, cake

Finish 🏁 :  long old oak wood finish, tobacco, leather, PX sherry, toasted, black coffee.

My tips post Round 12 (bye round; 7 matches). Demons, Power, Magpies, Bulldogs, Suns, Giants, and Essendon did take a win a win from the Kangaroos. 5/7 pretty good.

My tips Round 13 (bye round; 8 matches) - Swans, Dogs (roughie of the week as my pick is based on that Dogs will make changes), Lions, Crows, Dockers, Giants, Bombers, and Magpies.

My tips post Round 11 – a poor 4/9 last week.  I picked the Swans, Bombers, Power, and Magpies, but surprisingly Lions had suffered a loss away from the Gabbatior against Crows, Hawks notched a win against the Saints. Freo way to go, with a win to Dockers against the Demons, and of course Suns upset the Dogs. Perhaps could have predicted Cats v GWS as they are not scared of Kardinia Park.

My tips Round 12 (bye round) - Demons, Power, Magpies, Dogs (close game), Suns (roughie of the week, but close game), Giants (close game), and Essendon.

Colour 🎨 :  pale gold to amber

Nose 👃 :  sweet, orange, candy, hard boiled lollies

Palate 👅 :  thin oil mouth feel; sweet malt, honey, orange, maritime salt, mild smoke

Finish 🏁 :  leather, new wood, spice, umami.

My tips post Round 10 – 7/9 – not bad. I was sweating for the Essendon game but bagged that one. Should have tipped a Cats breakdown again but I’m silly like that.

My tips for Round 11 – Swans (could go either way as both have been average), Saints, Demons, Cats (surely they have to get this one vs Giants?), Bulldogs, Bombers, Power (just have been too dominant, and I tipped against them last week: dang), Magpies, Lions.

Tasting notes on the Lagavulin 16 year old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Islay, Scotland ABV 43%.

Colour 🎨 :  burnished

Nose 👃 :  sweet: stewed apples, sherry, dry spices; hints of peat

Palate 👅 :  oily mouth feel; new wood spice, dry sherry, bitter orange, lightly sea-salted, slight iodine notes; smoked salmon

Finish 🏁 :  hints spent matches, old wood; and waft of burnt rubber.

My tips post Round 9 – 8/9 – pretty happy with the result but most were easy picks. Should have tipped the Cats given breakdown of the team lately.

My tips for Round 10 – Demons (might be close), Swans, Dogs (can close and Dogs can be spooked at Ballarat), Cats, Lions, Bombers(rogue), Hawks, Magpies, Saints. Should be some good games this week!
