Whispering Streets

• Format: It was a romantic soap-opera drama with a unique serial format. Instead of a typical daily soap, each week's story would often pick up using a minor character's point of view from the previous week, becoming the major character for the new story. This unusual structure made it quite engaging for listeners.
• Narrators: The show featured multiple well-known hostesses and narrators throughout its run. Notably, Bette Davis was one of the most prominent and dramatic narrators. Other narrators included Cathy Lewis, Hope Winslow, Ann Seymour, and Gertrude Warner, who often portrayed the fictional writer "Hope Winslow" who introduced the stories.
• Storytelling: The stories were described as "dramas played daily by professionals and laborers — by people who live in mansions — and by those who live across the tracks," offering insights into various aspects of life.
