I mentioned in this sermon some book recommendations and references. These include Eric Lane’s commentary on the Psalms by Focus on the Bible series (2 volumes); Robert Godfrey’s Learning to Love the Psalms; Calvin’s commentary on the Psalms. And one correction of author and title is that of the book I reference on Leviticus—that book is actually by L. Michael Morales (not T. Desmond Alexander as I state in this sermon), and it is called Who Shall Ascend the Mountain of the Lord?: A Biblical Theology of the Book of Leviticus. Additionally, when it comes to the background of some of David’s psalms, John Woodhouse’s commentaries on 1 & 2 Samuel in the Preaching the Word Commentary series is invaluable.
