Episode 4: “The Continuum War”

Mara finds a version of herself still alive in the undercity—feral, lucid, and missing a chunk of her frontal cortex. This Mara speaks in riddles and names the corporation as an agent of recursion, a process that cycles memories through "cleaned" vessels until they’re profitable. Eli discovers he’s not the only Eli. His 2.0 version has escaped and founded an anti-immortality insurgency. And now both Elis want Mara to choose a side.

Episode 3: “Versions”

"The more perfect the copy, the deeper the lie."

Mara digs into the ReGenesis archives and discovers evidence of parallel bodies—clones who went rogue or were “corrected.” She suspects her memories may not be entirely her own. Eli confronts the ethics division of the biotech firm, only to find it's now a shell company. Meanwhile, Eli’s new body begins to experience cross-feedback—skills and memories he never had, including someone else’s childhood trauma.

Episode 2: "The Mara That Remains”

"If I remember what happened to me, do I become her again? Or do I become something worse?"

Mara begins experiencing echoes—fragments of memory that weren't part of the upload. Memories of another woman’s death. A secret lab. A second version of herself. Eli dismisses them as data artifacts. But Mara finds a scar on her new body that shouldn’t be there. Meanwhile, Eli receives a cryptic package: a black-market Continuum Capsule labeled “Eli-1.0.2”. But he never authorized a backup.

Episode 1: “The Gift of Lethe”

"We thought memory was identity. We forgot memory is also prison."

Eli and Mara sign the ReGenesis contracts. Flashbacks reveal their old life: Eli’s obsession with consciousness studies, Mara’s artistic fame cut short by degenerative illness. Despite warnings from Eli’s former student—now a whistleblower—they proceed. In a pristine lab, they're euthanized. Their neural data is uploaded, their DNA sequenced.

They awaken in new bodies. Perfect. Youthful. But the first thing Mara says isn’t to Eli—it’s a name no one recognizes.
