The lovely Anne-Marie Mayers, founder of the Soul Awakening Academy joins us to talk about her own Wounded Healer journey and how this ultimately led her to remembering she has the power to change her life and remove what wasn’t working.

She went on to study a variety of different spiritual techniques, including Reiki, EFT and hypnotherapy, and now offers courses and training including trauma-informed life-coaching, spiritual training, and emotional healing workshops. She is also the author of two books including ‘Soulful, Spiritual, Mindful, Masterful’, and ‘Alchemy of the Soul’.

She reminds us that we all need a spiritual element in our lives, because to surrender to something spiritual is so powerful, and the key to finding out who we really are. This leads us to discuss identity and how much further that goes than just a label. Anne-Marie believes that we are fed unhelpful information which conditions us to believe in a truth that is chosen for us. She recommends we inform ourselves through research and quantum physics which might then open the door to other perspectives to help in the understanding of ourselves.

As humans, Anne-Marie points out, we can ask: who do I want to be? We can upgrade if we choose to and turn the base metal into gold. We are all on a Hero’s Journey to find our true selves, and we can only do this by feeling into the alignment and joy in our lives.

We speak to the wonderful Fay Johnstone, author of Plant Spirit Reiki, and an experienced shamanic practitioner who assists others to expand into the highest version of themselves.

Fay explains that walking the path of shamanism is like walking with ‘one foot in this world and one foot in another reality’. She tells us about her journey of working with plants, making potions, foraging, celebrating nature and the vital role plants play in our day to day health and wellbeing.

Her story is a fascinating one as she shares how it all started for her whilst working in Canada running a flower and herb farm. She now lives with her husband in Scotland where she runs retreats from her magical garden.

She shares how she realised she could ask nature for guidance and reminds us of the importance of asking for help from guides, plant spirits, fairy folk – we don’t have to do this alone! They are aligned with their unique essence, hence the more time we spend in nature, the more we are infused with this frequency. When it comes to plants we get a full sense of them through our senses because they are all around us. We also have their medicine – we must remember that we are part of nature not separate from it, therefore we know innately how to communicate with nature.

Kev Bailey joins us, a healer and medium working for spirit, who uses a mixture of kinesiology, crystals and energy therapies alongside shamanic healing techniques to help others on their own healing journey’s.

Kev shares his own personal story that begins with many difficulties and challenges but ultimately leads him on his own path of healing, working with his grief and understanding his shadow side and triggers. He believes that if we don’t do this, you bypass most of your lessons and repeat cycles that are no longer serving you.

He believes the most important thing we should be focusing on now is our connection to source and that not everyone will ‘wake up’ and that’s ok. Maybe they have chosen to stay in their 3D experience and/or have contracted to stay at this level.

Kev shares some examples of what he’s experienced when working with others, which is fascinating! During his shamanic healing sessions, Kev works with a female brown bear which according to Native American traditions is one of the most powerful medicines to work with.

Sally Francis chats with us about her latest book - Over the Rainbow to a New Found Consciousness, that explores finding out who you are in the process of ascension of Earth.

She has been working as a complimentary therapist, tutor of accredited courses, tarot reader, medium, kinesiologist and healer for the last 35 years and wanted to write the book to capture all of what she has learned during that time.

Her goal has been primarily to help people understand how to keep themselves calm. This is something that she talks about in her book which also has meditations to help the reader keep calm. She believes we need to do this now more than ever as we see the ever increasing chaos happening in the world which Sally says is linked to the ascension of earth.

Sally believes we come into this life to learn and grow here on Earth and sometimes we try to interfere with another persons journey because we want them to be happy, but we have to let them do their own journey. It’s hard, especially with people you love, to step back, but sometimes this is the most helpful thing you can do. Sally explains that in the book she really explores what unconditional love is, including unconditional love of the self. She says we are not very good at it for ourselves or in relationships. That’s one of the hardest things, to love someone for who they are and not who you want them to be.

We welcome Trina Kavanagh-Thomas, an Energy & Wellbeing Mentor who combines her skills in personal training, health coaching and energy work to help stressed out leaders turn their dreams into reality. She specialises in supporting high achieving individuals to reach their personal and business goals by deciphering recurring dreams, thoughts and patterns which are often tied to stress in the mind and body.

So how did all this start? Well she shares that after some soul searching about her own personal wounds, she moved through self-punishment and began to find her own ‘why’ to follow her soul’s purpose.

She discovered that using movements of the body helps to release emotions and she believes that, with the recent heavy focus on mindset, we have lost that aspect of working with our bodies in the 3D. She reminds us that eating patterns can also be a manifestation of buried emotions, and when we really feel what it’s like to truly be in our bodies, we can become more sensitive to triggers.

Trina believes in empowering people to know their own bodies and find their own answers.

This brings us onto the topic about the role of intuition and how it’s connected to our higher intelligence, and we must draw upon this. We must let go and release the programming and habitual ways of behaving and thinking, whilst not negating ourselves for the conditions we have experienced. It is important to practice self-love and self-compassion.

We also explore recurring dreams and how they tie into unhelpful patterns. Recurring dreams can identify recurring emotions, and Trina believes this can help us address unhelpful patterns or insecurities. She believes that if the nervous system is calm, we can address these problems by tuning in to where these recurring patterns manifest in our bodies. We can receive messages from our bodies when we look after them. Trina shares that looking after our basic needs can help us dramatically, and she recommends tuning in to our own needs on any particular day, emphasising the importance of quality of our sleep. She says that our bodies contain a plethora of information, if we would only ask!

We are joined by the gorgeous Hannah Fay Sharples, a signed singer-songwriter, who incorporates her channelled vocalisations within her healing sessions, which include hypnotherapy, NLP coaching, shadow alchemy, trauma spotting through source tapping and vocal coaching. Hannah has had releases on UK, Spanish and Ukrainian record labels and many of her lyrics are inspired by her healing work. 

We talk about when Hannah first began to tread the healing path and how she ended up manifesting an NLP course in Paris (all expenses paid) then went onto train in hypnotherapy, trauma spotting and shadow alchemy.

She shares her insights on how to explore our shadow selves to see what is at play, for example, child, victim, saboteur and prostitute archetypes can be identified. And we learn how the different shadow archetypes can be linked to a fight, flight, freeze response. So, for example, if we are stuck in freeze, this tends to manifest as a saboteur archetype.

Hannah describes trauma spotting and the use of eye accessing cues for tapping into the limbic system and into the body. Our trauma is stored in the body, and using these techniques we can identify triggers and the age of origin. This allows someone to release trauma somatically.

Hannah loves how, in her work with shadow alchemy, you can use the four fear archetypes to identify trauma and then counteract these using the power archetypes of sovereign, warrior, magician and lover. A truly fascinating approach to healing work! She often combines her skills with her voice when she feels guided to do so, to bring the highest healing possible for her clients.

Holly Hollins, who is a Master Energy Healer, Intuitive Transformation Channel and Manifestation Coach and the creator of the Higher Frequency Rewire Method, joins us for this episode.

She shares her incredible transformational journey that started when she realised she had lost her own sense of self and was overwhelmed with anxiety and negative thoughts, which she later discovered was due to a condition called Pure O OCD.
