God-s Word is true from the beginning to the end- We can trust that fact even when we consider difficult sections of the Bible, such as Isaiah 5.--This chapter records the third introductory sermon given by this -prince of the Old Testament writing prophets- who ministered in Judah in the eighth and seventh centuries before Christ. It has a very heavy message displaying -the aftermath of apostasy in Israel,- as our Bible teacher, Dr. John Whitcomb, describes it. Yet, the message ultimately ends in glorious fashion, as we will see over the next two broadcasts.--The chapter rehearses the history of Israel, which offers a remembrance of God-s sovereignty, blessings and mercy. Although nation had failed in many ways, the infinite, eternal grace of God shines brightly against the background of the depravity of man.--With host Wayne Shepherd, Whitcomb Ministries thanks Middletown Bible Church in Middletown, Connecticut, for allowing us to bring you this message on -Encounter God-s Truth.-
