Writing a song can be inspired by a candid conversation, which is what happened this morning.

My husband saw snow, then drifts blowing off the roof of the house. I saw 'white April rain, and ghosts on the wind."

Everything about today should have brought me down, but instead... 

"as if the winter in spring ever meant a thing, and what of snow in July - I'm not gonna cry...."
