Books. Wine. Friendship. What else is there?

Bev, Louise, Rachel and Helen are members of a book club. Every month they meet, drink wine and discuss a novel or play that they have all read.  We see them over the course of a year, during which we learn about the trials and tribulations of a middle aged woman in the 21st Century.  It is only when one of them falls ill that they really discover the value of their friendship.

The play was recorded by the cast in their own homes during the Coronavirus pandemic.

This 21-minute play tells the story of feuding small town B&B owners, the guest who has come in search of her roots, and the tragic story that connects them. It's an emotional but heartwarming domestic drama.

A Summer of Spring is directed by Martin Borley-Cox and stars Fraser Haines as Harlan, Mindy Robinson as Alice and Becki Cockcroft as Violet. The production was safely rehearsed and recorded during the Coronavirus pandemic using video calls from the actors' and director's homes.
