In Isaiah 9: 6-7, God made a promise to King David that one of his descendants would be the Promised Savior, who would be both a human king and also God come to us.
The promised Savior became last, a servant to all, so that we, slaves to sin, might be called sons and daughters of the living God.
Genesis 3, Despite our rejection of God, God promised to save us from before the beginning.
In the story of King Jehu in 2 Kings 9-10, we see that it is possible to do the right things for the wrong reasons, but Jesus is able to bring about the radical change we need.
