This year I have been fortunate to have a few comedians amongst the guests on the podcast. It felt right to wrap up the year 2020 with not one but two of my favorite friends of the podcast in the studio (remotely) to take us through Congo, Belgium, France, Los Angeles, and more. Bileko Wissa and Julien Tshikuna are two brethren that I just love as they always make me laugh with their skits on IG and they have a dope podcast too.
Be sure to not only check out Bantu Boyz Podcast but also go on Instagram & YouTube for more of their awesomeness https://lnk.bio/a3gc.
On Amazon Prime, the Bantu Boyz has a comedy special "Laugh With Africa."
Thank you for your support throughout 2020 you all are the best.

It was great to have Dr. Mensimah Shabazz as our guest. I was fortunate to read her autobiography Sankofa: Learning from Hindsight, before recording this episode. Dr. Shabazz is a transformational coach who guides women (and men) on empowerment and leadership.
There's so much that I've learned from her journey, I highly recommend that everyone checks out Sankofa. Dr. Shabazz's book isn't just about herself ( there's plenty on her experience, growth, and awareness), it's also about community, relationships with our families, the living and the dead, spirituality, and history too. I got a lot more than I was expecting and would be extremely selfish to not share this with you.

Nathalie is taking Black Girl Magic to a new level. Nathalie's impact on both the medical and media spaces has impacted lives across many countries, cities, and continents. She tells you that she is small in size, however, she is tall in strides. The energy that she brings to the table is so welcoming and when you hear her story you get to understand why, she is just a lovely soul who takes us through two major west African cities, Dallas and more. So much history and culture in this episode.

I have been fortunate to come in contact with many good people, some I can call a friend. Mark Butler is one of such people.
Mark is also from a family that has plenty of amazing stories when it comes to life, migration, and most important of all being an all-around good person. Mark is from one of those families that I would love to have featured together. You get to know why he is also a good sport.
Also, Cameroonian and Ghanaian folks know that only Irish and Nigerian Guinness counts this is not Jollof so not debatable!

Now and then we come across people who just have that presence that makes you want to sit down and listen, you can feel the flow of realness that they represent. One of such people is today's guest, Deuce Griggs. One of my favorite personalities in Japan, Social Media & Tourism Guru Deuce Griggs. This man was the first Black person that I saw online talking about living in Japan, he opened my eyes to a world that existed and since then I began to notice other Black people in that part of the world that would lead to a previous guest on the pod. Always fun to talk with Deuce.
Follow Deuce for more inspiration via the following links (I recommend his TedTalk):

The studio gets an extra dose of energy whenever the first guest of White Label American is around. It's always great to have Brenda Sarai Zuniga blessing us with an honest conversation dealing with our mental state during this pandemic while also going back to our roots for some hilarious memories. Brenda also dives into her work as a mental health advocate, her brand new podcast, being a keynote speaker, and family.
For more about early Brenda's life, check out episode 1.

This episode is dedicated to TK (Tasie Kalu) who was taken from his family on July 4th, 2014 along with every other victim of the Federal Special Anti Robbery Unit of Nigeria aka SARS.
This episode is also dedicated to all our brethren risking their lives for the betterment of all as they challenge and speak truth against the system wherever they may be, we are all in a similar struggle whether in Nigeria, Congo, Namibia, Thailand, or the United States and are in solidarity.
