Matthias Roeckl is an award-winning freelance correspondent journalist, who also produces podcasts such as Funny Feelings, Puls, Host, and producer of Bayerischer Rundfunk (Germany's most significant public tv and Radio station based in Munich). Matthias host his music show 'Nactmix' that publishes in both German and English. Matthias is also a musician. Matthias has been a freelance journalist for several European media outlets such as TV ORF, Swiss TV, RTL, Pro 7, and Der Spiegel. He has been nominated for ARD Tagesthemen Award, won the Deutscher Fernsehpreis (equivalent to the Emmy Awards) for his work as producer and camera operator in the investigative documentary "Panama Papers."

May and Soe take us on a journey to Myanmar, a part of the world that I honestly knew zero about, then over to NYC.

The funny thing is that I have known Soe's cousin for over a decade online (never met her in person), and she introduced me to Soe on his arrival in NYC. Life wouldn't allow us to meet until New York Comic-Con two years ago, and the next time we would meet again was at the studio for this recording.
