You and I need to beware of antichrists in our life because they oppose Christ, the Church, and the Christian.  

What we have in Christ is far better than what the world offers. Do you believe that? I know we are in church and the right answer is to say yes, we believe that what we have in Christ is far better than what the world offers. But we need to understand what we have in Christ and then understand what the world offers to really answer this question honestly.

Our salvation not only makes us right with God, but our salvation also produces obedience to God, and love for other Christians in our lives.

As we look at 1 John 1:5 - 2:2, we will see that Jesus alone reconciles the unholy to a holy God.  Jesus alone brings together the unworthy to a worthy God.  Jesus alone redeems sinful people to a perfect God.  You and I can't do this.  Even in our best effort, we come up painfully short.  Apart from Christ, we are in the dark, and we cannot come into the Light.  God is Light and we are the darkness.   

Join Senior Pastor Gary Pierce as we start our journey through 1 John; we will see our need to know what we believe about Jesus.  You and I should believe the right things about Jesus to rest assured in Christ's redeeming work on the cross on our behalf.  When we believe the right things about Jesus, we can confidently talk with others about Jesus.  This morning we hope that you know Jesus, share Jesus, and enjoy Jesus.
