i am saying this because I feel like the media emboldened this young man the same way they have emboldened other white men to go take up arms and defend their idea of what American values look like. The media completely focused in on Black people causing trouble, damaging property, burning down buildings etc... over a span of 3-5 years leading up to this protest in Kenosha. Is Kyle Rittenhouse racist? I do not know, but what I fell is he went into this thinking it was going to Black people that would harm him, because that is the image he had been shown for years as to being the menace causing the trouble, burning down buildings, and destroying property.
#KyleRittenhouse A 17 year old White boy used his natural born #WhitePrivilege to take up arms, travel to a different city and defend businesses, buildings, & people he had no connection to or with. The news had been constantly showing Black people protesting around the country and now was Wisconsin's turn for Black people to protest after the shooting of Black man. #KyleRittenhouse Said "Not on his watch!"
He was going to be a #HERO ended up killing 2 white guys and wounding another. That's 4 #WhiteMen who had no business even being concerned about what the Black people were talking about, all impacted because they had their noses were it didn't belong!
The saddest part of the equation is that Black people on the Right & Left have turned this into an actual race thing! Which it is, but their arguments are juvenile and irrelevant. They don't focus on the real missing link throwing fuel on the fire to fan the flames of racism, the biased media.
Black Conservatives are bowing down on both knees to defend Kyle Rittenhouse as if they nursed him from their own tit or taught him how to ride the masters horse!
Blacks on the Left are comparing him to the fantasy of "what would have happened if he were Black?"
Both sides miss the whole picture!
Both sides refuse to ask the major questions:
"Who was your "perceived" original target? The purpose to need the protection of an AR-15?"
"Who did you think were the rioters & looters you were fending off going to be?"
The prosecution should have asked Gage Grosskreutz:
"Would you have shot if Kyle Rittenhouse was a Black man holding that AR-15?"
The police officers who saw, approached & talked to Kyle Rittenhouse should be asked:
"Would you have arrested, shot, or confiscated the AR-15 from Kyle Rittenhouse if he was Black?"
Kyle Rittenhouse is no different from Ralphie. Yeah, that Ralphie! He went looking to shoot Black Bart, but that plan backfired, when the only threat he faced looked like him! Now his actions are ricocheting back at him!
He would not be there first White man to claim self-defense and win, which considering the situation it was self-defense. I only have a problem with the fact he shouldn't have been there in the 1st place for 1. I also don't think he thought these were going to be the knuckle heads giving him problems for 2.
