The greatest behavior that we can attain as a human is frankly more of an attitude than an action. That is, to be gracious towards people, doing good to them regardless of whether they deserve good or not.

How do we know Jesus is God? Why should we put Jesus on the same level as God, the Father?

God inconvenienced the world in order to give us His Son, Jesus. We have forgiveness, peace, and grace because of the gift of Jesus.

Jesus followers heard the Good News that he had come back to life after being killed on the cross. But they said nothing because they were afraid. What lame excuses do we have for not sharing the good news of forgiveness and eternal life?

Jesus dies on the cross, paying for the sins of mankind. We know He succeeded because when He cried it is finished and died, the curtain in the Temple was torn from top to bottom. We can now have bold access to God through Jesus.

Jesus walks the gauntlet of injustice as He approaches the cross. Here we see how our God handles wrongs against Him and how are to handle the wrongs against us. Also we see the purpose of His sufferings as we compare this text, Mark 15, with the prophet of old, Isaiah, in his foreshadow in chapter 53.

Now that Paul intervened in this conflict between Philemon and Onesimus, he planned to follow-up to ensure that the relationship had moved forward for the longterm.

We serve a Lord who stuck to His plan despite easy opportunities to give up. Jesus stuck to His task of dying for the sins of His people. His disciples abandoned their task and one, Peter, even denied His Master. Do we stick to our task or are we so easily led astray?
