The believers ability to do good works is not all of themselves, but wholly from the Spirit of Christ; and that they may be enabled thereunto, besides the graces they have already received, there is necessary an actual influence of the same Holy Spirit, to work in them and to will and to do of his good pleasure; (1689 LBC 16:3)

And Jesus did not let him, but He said to him, "Go home to your people and report to them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He had mercy on you." (Mark 5:19)

When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. (John 10:4)

Good works are only such as God has commanded in his Holy Word, and not such as without the warrant thereof are devised by men out of blind zeal, or upon any pretense of good intentions. ~1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith 16.1

And Jesus woke up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace! Be still." And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm. (Mark 4:39)

As repentance is to be continued through the whole course of our lives, upon the account of the body of death, and the motions thereof, so it is every man's duty to repent of his particular known sins particularly. ~1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith 15.4

"The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. (Matthew 14:44)

Answer: Repentance unto life is a saving grace (Acts 11:28), whereby a sinner, out of a true sense of his sin (Acts 2:37, 38), and apprehension of the mercy of God in Christ (Joel 2:12; Jer 3:22), doth, with grief and hatred of his sin, turn from it unto God (Jer 31:18, 19; Ez. 36:3 1), with full purpose of and endeavor after new obedience (2 Cor. 7: 11; Isaiah 1:16-17). ~The Baptist Catechism Question 92
