FREDDIE MERCURY died on this day 29 years ago in 1991 aged 45 years old. The extraordinary artist had last been seen in public at the 1990 BRIT Awards; some today are remembering him through photographs taken by his partner Jim Hutton in his garden a few months before he passed away, smiling in the sunshine with his cats.
