1- The incarnation shows us the perfection of God’s love.
2- The incarnation shows us the perfection of Jesus’ understanding of our hurt, our struggles and our temptations.
3- The incarnation provides a perfect sacrifice for our eternal freedom. Jesus did not deserve death but He died. We deserve punishment but receive forgiveness.
Why are these stories in the Bible? Why did God leave us one tale after another of wounded lives being restored? So we could look back with amazement at what Jesus did?
The purpose of these stories is not to tell us what Jesus did. The purpose is to tell us what Jesus does. He’s not doing it just for them. He’s doing it for me. He’s doing it for you.
I want to be free from my prison of negativity. The incarnation of Jesus is perfection. I want to strive for the perfection He displayed.
