As we participate in ‘Come to the Table’ as a church, and as we invite friends and loved ones to this outreach, it’s a great reminder that 2,000 years ago, three groups of people were also invited to witness the birth of Jesus Christ. Each found their way to Jesus in very contrasting ways, and their responses to the invitation to come to His table were also very different. The invitation to come to the Lord’s table continues to be extended to all people, and the scenario at His birth is being repeated every day. May we find ourselves amongst those who respond to the Lord’s invitation and find ourselves at His table.
