Terry Kelly is an east coast musician who has seven full-length recordings to his credit.  He has gained international recognition as an athlete, award-winning singer, songwriter, and entertainer, speaker and lover of life.
Terry is a recipient of the King Clancy Award, and Honorary Doctorates in Civil Laws and in Fine Arts.  He has received the Canadian Country Music Awards Humanitarian Award and is a member of the Order of Canada. 
Terry has distinguished himself as the third blind person in the world to run the mile in under 5 minutes.

This conversation is directly linked to the Conversation with Jimmie Inch.  Jimmie recommended James as someone I should be talking to, and he was right. 
James and I chatted at length on how he became a National level sponsored snowboarder that presented many opportunities that he said yes to that led him to where he is today.
We chatted about his BJJ practice in which he competed Internationally in multiple tournaments, and all from the living room of the first house that he ever built which happens to be his own. 
James talks a bit about his experiences in Brazilaian Jiu Jitsiu and includes the FORCA Gym as a recommended place to learn.  Check that out here.

James also recommended the Ben Greenfield Fitness Podcast specifically as a must listen for men; however, as an avid listener I would also recommend it to women as well.  It is sometimes perhaps a bit science heavy in the nutrition world, but a lot of spiritual component as well.
James goes into some detail about his vision to create a men's retreat type space in the area and goes on to mention Ryan Michler who has a podcast The Order of Man.
Later in the podcast James and I both express the desire to know why Putin may be doing the things he is doing.  What his reasoning is.  When I discussed that with someone who had a connection in Military Intelligence, this video was recommended to me.  Quite insightful.

LCol (Ret'd) Brad White is the follow up guest to Episode 2 Guest Col (Ret'd) Randy Price. 
In this episode Brad and I discuss his involvement with the Royal Canadian Legion as the Dominion Secretary National Executive Director.  We chat about his role in bringing the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier to Canada and the ceremony of the internment of the remains at the site.
Along the way we discuss how he discerned that he was impacted by PTSD in his career and some insight to the role that the Royal Canadian Legion plays in helping Canadian Veterans.   It was a pleasure to learn more about all of these things and more with Brad.

This was the first edition of the podcast where the initial guest was linked to the next guest and it worked out famously.  Big THANK YOU to Wally "The Shearwater Swatter" Buckoski from episode 3 who recommended that Paul was someone that I should be talking to.  

   Paul Kennedy was born in Saint John, New Brunswick and started his radio career at CJLS Yarmouth, Nova Scotia in 1968. For the next 28 years he dedicated himself for the most part to country radio, including 20 years spent at CHFX Halifax on air and as Music Director. He was also a broadcaster at CKDH-Amherst,

CHSJ in Saint John, CKBC-Bathurst and in recent years since 2002 – on Seaside fm in Eastern Passage. 

    He has interviewed many of country's biggest stars such as Marty Robbins, Waylon Jennings, George Strait, Reba, and Keith Urban … from Hank Snow to Shania Twain. Paul has taken great pride promoting many of Canada's finest artists over the years.... his first interview was with Anne Murray .. a year or so before her International fame.

    Kennedy formed his own company in the mid-nineties, "Kennedy Artist Promotions" to further his work covering Canadian artist achievements, including reporting for National radio programs such as "Today's Country". He was a country radio promoter-tracker for independent artists between 1998 and 2017. 

    He was a sought-after feature writer for publications such as the Halifax Daily News, Country Wave, Halifax Chronicle Herald, and for 25 years – a writer Country Music News in Ottawa with his "East Coast Country" column. 
    Kennedy won the Canadian Country Music Association (Major Market) Music Director of the Year Award five times and captured On Air personality on three occasions. He is most proud to have attended and reported from Country Music Week numerous times … including a stretch for 24 consecutive years. 

    Paul was thrilled to be elected to the Canadian Country Music Association Hall of Fame in the radio category in 2005 in Calgary.

In our podcast today, Paul and I discuss radio of today and yesteryear, his affinity for people of good character like Charlie Pride; the first interview he ever did on air which was with none other than Anne Murray; and how he was converted to country music.

Jimmie Inch is the fourth and final of my initial episode guests that are the starting point of all future guests on the show. I cannot think of an individual that approaches life quite like Jimmie. 
A native of Glace Bay, Cape Breton (kind of), Jimmie weaves a tale over our chat about his start in music, ditching University to tour and coming full circle back to the same university to open for Great Big Sea a short time later; how he went on to become a structural engineer and decided that perhaps the Arctic was the best place for him to practice the trade.
We chat at length about his bid to win "The Great Canadian Music Dream" with an original song written by his bandmate and guitar samurai Glen MacIsaac.
Jimmie goes into a bit of detail as we explore how good it feels to win and how he wishes his entire family could experience that feeling.
We touch on the way that He and Jack Bonaparte came up with an idea to create and host a syndicated radio show from their apartment called "The East Coast Countdown", which would garner him several East Coast Music Awards.
Over the afternoon we definitely had to talk about turning his basement into a TV studio to host his own tv show; and of course the time he decided to teach High School Band on a whim.
Finally we get to hear about how Jimmie found and created a relationship with his 19 year old son that he had when was 15 yrs old.

Have you ever wondered how Kramer from Seinfeld finds himself in all of the scenarios that he gets himself into? Meet Wally "The Shearwater Swatter" Buckoski...Canada's real life version of the affable character.
Wally is a sports stores technician at 12 Wing Shearwater and takes immense pride in the fact that he is the longest serving member to ever work there.  Should he stick around until January 2024, Buckoski will have served in and out of uniform in Shearwater for 50 years!!
Wally has a keen memory for dates, places, times and gives a nickname to everyone he meets and works with.  You could come back in 30 years and he would call you by that nickname.  He finds himself in all kinds of scenarios with celebrities from across the globe and we go into those stories in detail in this episode.  
We chat about his personal invitation from Sugar Ray Leonard to come to his fights, his encounters with Willem Dafoe as a boxing trainer, chatting with Ron Maclean and Don Cherry on coaches corner, and how he memorized Gordie Howe's cell phone number.  
We chat about his time in radio as a host on the station he helped create with the recently departed Wayne Harrett. He fondly takes us through the time that he ended up "making the call" for the US Airforce Blue Angels, a task that was never achieved previously; and his time hosting the Shearwater Air Show. 
His true passion throughout our whole conversation is helping the serving military members at 12 Wing Shearwater.  He is a remarkable human being, and it is my absolute pleasure to introduce to you all...The Shearwater Swatter....Wally Buckoski.

Todays guest is Col (Ret.) Randy Price, a former Canadian Armed Forces Search and Rescue Pilot who incidentally is my Dad. 
We chat about his upbringing in the Alberta Prairies in the Neutral Hills, and the lessons that my Grandparent gave him doing their best to raise a family on land that was reported as uninhabitable as farm land.
We talk about his time in Tactical Helicopters flying for the Army, and a few stories that that brings about, including how he was ordered to blow poplar dust off a camp in Wainwright that essentially knocked the whole place down.
We talked at length about his most dangerous and memorable missions as a Search and Rescue pilot with the CAF, including the BoxTop Rescue in October 1991 known as "the boldest and most massive ir disaster rescue mission ever undertaken by Canadian Military in the high arctic.  Get the book by Author Robert Mason Lee here
We chat about the Saguenay Flood of 1996 in Quebec and his role in helping the people of the area flee to safety in the back of the Labrador Helicopter. 
We also talk about his part in the recovery of a crashed Russian satellite in Northern Canada.  

Overall an great chat to come to find out some of the most harrowing details about some of the rescues that earned everyone involved medals on their uniforms.  

Currently, Col (Ret.) Randy Price is looking forward to retirement at his Nova Scotia home after he has lent his expertise and helping hand to oversee the delivery of the CC-295 Kingfisher which is designed to fulfill the role of the CC-115 Buffalo and the CC-130 Hercules.

Jason Barry is an award winning producer, songwriter, post audio engineer, and musician who has collected dozens of Canada's largest music accolades including Juno's, CCMA Awards, Canadian Music Awards, SOCAN Awards, and countless others. 
In this podcast we talk about him overcoming adversity as a he beat being completely hearing impaired from birth to the age of 5; and once again in his prime as a touring and studio musician later in life.
He has toured with, produced, played on, and engineered for countless major musical acts including Dean Brody, Charlie Major, Terri Clark, Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Steve Earle and countless others.
As a songwriter he has penned multiple hits with many established songwriters.  One he is most proud of is his own song "Yes I Can" which he wrote specifically for a special needs children's charity.  That song boasted a Two Thumbs Up from Hockey Icon Don Cherry on an episode of Coaches Corner.
