What if the parts of you that feel "lost" were never actually gone?
In this first episode of Who the Hell Am I?: Beneath the Performance, I'm sharing the story behind my original song, "Returning to the Wild I Left Behind," and the unexpected journey that brought me back to songwriting after decades away.
As a teenager, I wrote songs constantly. Somewhere along the way, I stopped. I thought I had left music behind when I walked away from religion, only to realize I had unconsciously buried a piece of my own creativity along with it.
I'll share how I used AI as a creative collaborator—writing the lyrics myself, singing them into the app, and allowing technology to help bring the music to life—and why the experience became so much bigger than making a song.
It became a homecoming.
This conversation opens the door to the first pillar of my work: Return. Return to your body. Return to your truth. Return to the patterns, passions, and pieces of yourself that existed before the world told you who you needed to be.
If you've ever wondered where your spark went, or felt like you've spent years performing versions of yourself that everyone else needed, this episode is an invitation to ask a different question:
What did you love before you learned who you were supposed to be?
Maybe the wild you left behind wasn't lost.
Maybe she's been waiting for you to remember the way home.
Welcome to Who the Hell Am I?: Beneath the Performance.
