We have heard of her name and the call to name the Cape Town International Airport after her. Krotoa (known as Eva to the Dutch and English).

In August 2016, as part of the 350 year commemoration, the spirit of Krotoa was repatriated to her original place of burial at the Castle of Good Hope. A memorial in honour of her can be found next to the Chapel at the Castle today.
