As the year winds down, many of us feel the tension between rest and momentum. The desire to slow down exists alongside the pull to look ahead and prepare for what comes next.
In this final episode of 2025, I continue the business conversation from the previous episode, sharing grounded insights from over a decade as a business owner, brand strategist, and creative entrepreneur. This episode explores entrepreneurship not only as a professional path, but as a deeply personal, soul-level, and soul-led experience.
I speak candidly about one of the most costly mistakes founders and leaders make: cutting corners when hiring. Across startups, small teams, and publicly held companies, the wrong hires quietly drain time, money, energy, morale, and trust. This conversation breaks down why shared values alone are not enough, why availability does not equal readiness, and how misalignment within teams can stall growth.
The episode also reflects on leadership, integrity, and retention, and why hiring slowly and releasing quickly, clearly, and compassionately protects both people & the mission.
