  • What do you do with Finn (if he returns)? Also, some thoughts on ’Disney Gallery’ and ’Secret Invasion’

Welcome to the 161st episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast! This week, your hosts -- Aaron Svoboda (@Aaron_Svoboda), Alfredo Narvaez (@NOLA_Fredo) and Dave Gladow (@davegladow) -- get into the weeds a little on a rumor about John Boyega returning and what that could look like (14:00) before settling into a discussion on the latest "Disney Gallery" behind-the-scenes look at "The Mandalorian" (26:00), dealing with Season 3 of the show. The crew was split on how much value the documentary provided. Finally, the guys talked about "Secret Invasion," the latest Marvel offering on Disney+ (42:40).

  • Gray Jedi: What makes them appealing and/or infuriating as a concept?

On this, the 160th episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast, your hosts -- Aaron Svoboda (@Aaron_Svoboda), Alfredo Narvaez (@NOLA_Fredo) and David Gladow (@davegladow) -- get together in person for a discussion on gray jedi: specifically what they are, why they are controversial, and why they are appealing as a concept (49:35). Before that, they get into the weirdness of the upcoming movie slate (14:00), Disney not participating in SD Comic Con and the need for buzz (27:00), and just catching up on what we've been watching of late (38:56). It's a fun conversation.

  • What can cosplaying do for you? (plus a new Con is coming to the Gulf Coast!)

For the 159th episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast, your hosts -- Aaron Svoboda (@Aaron_Svoboda), Alfredo Narvaez (@NOLA_Fredo) and Dave Gladow (@davegladow) -- are joined by a special guest, Martha Howard (@littleredfoxcos), who is an avid cosplayer who is launching a new Con just down the road in Mobile. The group chats about the difficulties in launching a Con from the ground up, what makes a good Con, and what is exciting about the new Azalea City Con. Beyond that, the discussion turns to cosplaying. How can it be beneficial for individuals and for bringing people together? What is the good that comes out of it? Let's dive in!

  • #MakeSolo2Happen ... Okay, so what is that going to look like?

It's time for the 158th episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast! This week, your hosts -- Aaron Svoboda (@Aaron_Svoboda), Alfredo Narvaez (@NOLA_Fredo) and Dave Gladow (@davegladow) -- take a moment to talk about Star Wars' birthday before jumping into the news headlines. The discussion includes topics such as Captain Rex (19:00), cameo thoughts for "Ahsoka" (22:45), and Galactic Starcruiser shutting down (34:55). The "main" topic of the week, though, is #MakeSolo2Happen (51:44). The group debates what that should even look like, were it to occur, whether one could argue that it's (kind of) already happening, and what the proliferation of *so much* Star Wars content ultimately means for fans.

  • Who are the best droids in Star Wars?

It's the 156th episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast! This week, your hosts -- Aaron Svoboda (@Aaron_Svoboda), Alfredo Narvaez (@NOLA_Fredo) and Dave Gladow (@davegladow) -- attempt to answer that all-important, age-old question: Who are your favorite droids? (They also get into the weeds a little on Jazz Fest as well as the subject of recasting vs. digital recreation, particularly as it relates to the Big 3.) But mostly, this week is about the droids. The hosts name their top 3, discuss what makes those characters so appealing, and talk about the honorable mentions. Let's give those guys (and gals) their due!

  • Reviewing Season 3 of ’The Mandalorian’

Welcome to the 155th episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast! This week, your hosts -- Aaron Svoboda (@Aaron_Svoboda), Alfredo Narvaez (@NOLA_Fredo) and Dave Gladow (@davegladow) -- talk some "May the Fourth," the latest headlines in Star Wars, and a little "Return of the Jedi" before getting into the topic of the week, a full review of "The Mandalorian" Season 3. A lot of folks are unhappy with the new direction of the series, but independent of personal tastes and preference, can we get a decent idea of whether the creators of the show achieved what they set out to do? How effective were they at telling this particular story? And where are we with the show in general?

  • On Captain Marvel and trolls and ’The Mandalorian’ Season 3 finale

On this, the 154th episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast, your hosts -- Aaron Svoboda (@Aaron_Svoboda), Alfredo Narvaez (@NOLA_Fredo) and David Gladow (@davegladow) -- do a little talk on "The Acolyte" and the challenge of trying to make it fit into our preexisting ideas on Star Wars (8:30) before tackling the recent backlash to "The Marvels" trailer (18:24). Naturally the trolls have come out to play on this one, but what are the points in this project's favor? And why is it important in a much broader sense? Oh yeah, and "The Mandalorian" just wrapped up Season 3! Hear the group's thoughts on the ending we just got (42:01).

  • Star Wars Celebration: 3 new movies and so much more

For the 153rd episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast, your hosts -- Aaron Svoboda (@Aaron_Svoboda), Alfredo Narvaez (@NOLA_Fredo) and Dave Gladow (@davegladow) -- take a couple of minutes to talk about "The Mandalorian," but then dedicate the majority of the show to reaction to all of the major film and TV announcements from Star Wars Celebration 2023. Not just one movie was announced, but three. The group talks about the differences between those projects, including the likelihood of release order (and of them even happening at all). And of course, they also dive into all of the TV, the concept of a "shared" Mando-verse, and Kathleen Kennedy's public comments following the major announcements.

  • ’The Mandalorian’ is a ball of cameos right now ... is that okay?

On the 152nd episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast, your hosts -- Aaron Svoboda (@Aaron_Svoboda), Alfredo Narvaez (@NOLA_Fredo) and David Gladow (@davegladow) -- tackle Chapter 22 of "The Mandalorian," "Guns for Hire." There have been one or two major announcements made at Star Wars Celebration since we recorded (ahem), but this episode is still worth a good discussion. Does "Guns for Hire" deviate too far from this series' narrative roots? Where is the show headed in a more general sense? And do so many cameos hurt or help the viewers' enjoyment? Let's dive in!
