  • Let's talk about 'Andor' being the most feminist Star Wars we've ever had

On the 232nd episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast, your hosts -- Aaron Svoboda (@aaronsvoboda.bsky.social), Alfredo Narvaez (@nolafredo.bsky.social) and Dave Gladow (@davegladow.bsky.social) -- are joined by two special guests, friend to the program Sarah Postreich (@fsusarah42.bsky.social‬) and Dave's wife (and fellow friend to the program), Cait Gladow (@nolanolegal.bsky.social‬)! The two join for an in-depth discussion of feminism in "Andor." Certainly, "Andor" understands representation and walks the walk better than maybe any other Star Wars property ever has, but the show also takes steps beyond the Bechdel test to address themes relevant to women's life experiences. The group tackles some of those topics, which characters resonate so well and why, and basically just gush more about a truly great show. Join us!

On this, the 231st episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast, your hosts -- Aaron Svoboda (@aaronsvoboda.bsky.social), Alfredo Narvaez (@nolafredo.bsky.social) and Dave Gladow (@davegladow.bsky.social) -- take a diversion from "Andor" to get caught up on all the OTHER stuff that's come out recently. The group gets into the comic book movie making a potential comeback with "Thunderbolts" before turning their attention back to Star Wars. Why is the second season of "Light & Magic" a must-watch? And what were the best bits of "Tales of the Underworld?"

  • The rapid (too rapid?) conclusion of 'Andor' Season 2

It's the 230th episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast! This week, your hosts -- Aaron Svoboda (@aaronsvoboda.bsky.social), Alfredo Narvaez (@nolafredo.bsky.social) and Dave Gladow (@davegladow.bsky.social) -- review the final two arcs (Episodes 7-12) of Season 2 of "Andor." There's plenty to cover, from the Ghorman Massacre, to Cyril's denouement, to some great thrills surrounding two rescue attempts, to Luthen's predictable end ... the end of the series didn't lack for memorable moments. Was it a little cramped though? Let's discuss!

  • Is 'Andor' Season 2 TOO bleak?

On the 229th episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast, your hosts -- Aaron Svoboda (@aaronsvoboda.bsky.social), Alfredo Narvaez (@nolafredo.bsky.social) and Dave Gladow (@davegladow.bsky.social) -- review the second 3-episode arc (Episodes 4-6) of Season 2 of "Andor." One of the big things the group debates this week is the absence of hope in "Andor," and how deeply the show delves into things like depression and despair. How does the show's pacing affect our perception of things? Let's talk about it.

  • 'Andor' Season 2 is seeing no dropoff so far

Welcome to the 228th episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast! On this week's show, your hosts -- Aaron Svoboda (@aaronsvoboda.bsky.social), Alfredo Narvaez (@nolafredo.bsky.social) and Dave Gladow (@davegladow.bsky.social) -- review the first 3-episode arc of Season 2 of "Andor." The group devotes a few minutes to Celebration before getting into the weeds on the major storylines of the first three episodes. Why are the idiot Rebellion dudes important? Why is a scene of sexual assault appropriate for this show? How are people in general unpredictable? And why is the Unholy Alliance (TM) suddenly ... a good thing? Let's get into it!

The group pinpoints specific characters and episodes people can rewatch with an eye on what's to come, but they also look more broadly at thematic connections. • Is Disney Star Wars good or bad? Let's score every project!

Is Disney Star Wars good or bad? On the 224th episode of the WhoDatJedi podcast, your hosts -- Aaron Svoboda (@aaronsvoboda.bsky.social), Alfredo Narvaez (@nolafredo.bsky.social) and Dave Gladow (@davegladow.bsky.social) -- try to settle the question of whether Kathleen Kennedy's tenure has been good for Star Wars. The crew looks at each film/TV product released under the Disney banner, takes audience and critical reaction into account, and hands out their own pass/fail grades.
