Paul tells Timothy to charge the rich in this world do not do some things that would be detrimental to their spiritual growth, but to do other things that will allow them to invest in the future. We contrast these actions.

Paul explains to Timothy that some people will follow after wicked and foolish men, despite open sin. He exhorts Timothy to invest for eternity.

proving.
