The New York Mets and New York Yankees each made some big additions to their rotations this offseason, signing two of the top free agents on the market in Justin Verlander and Carlos Rodon.
The Mets added Verlander, pairing him up with his former teammate Max Scherzer, putting two future first-ballot Hall of Famers in the same staff. The Yankees meanwhile paired their ace, Gerrit Cole, with another Cy Young candidate in Carlos Rodon.
Beyond that, Kodai Senga, Nestor Cortes, Luis Severino and more quality starters round out each rotation, bringing plenty of talent to the mound every night in New York.
Host Ryan Finkelstein explains why the Mets are a little better on paper heading into the 2023 season and why he ranked them above the Yankees on his top 10 rotations list.
