Named to head the wholly made-up federal organization, the Department of Government Efficiency, Musk, who spent hundreds of millions of dollars of his own money to help elect Trump, and who has major financial stakes in projects before the federal government, is now taking over the reins of power with terrifying speed. His people have access to sensitive financial information and have pushed out federal workers.
As a so-called “Special Government employee,” Musk appears to have no oversight whatsoever.
